In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor to Britlind Energy on a development opportunity in Louisiana and Mississippi that was structured as a turnkey direct participation of an 11-wells program. The operator has a very successful history of working in these specific areas of LA and MS. At the time of the transaction, the operator had drilled over 90 wells with a high success and completion ratio in 25 production acquisitions and/or development programs, producing over 3,000 BOPD since 2007.
Furthermore, the operator’s experience included building substantial reserves to the 2nd largest producer in the Monroe District (20th largest in the state of LA), which was subsequently sold to a Private Equity group (HM Capital Partners) for $111 million.
