In 2015, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor on an oil & gas JV development opportunity in Roosevelt County, Montana. At the time of the transaction, the operator was among the largest natural gas producers in the state of Texas. This development opportunity covered over 22,000 net acres with potential 528 million barrels of total oil in place on 88 sections.

Oil & Gas – JV Development Opportunity, Eagle Ford Shale

In 2015, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor on an oil asset development opportunity in Brazos County, TX. The asset had 20,000 net acres to develop. Surrounding big operators were producing an average of 852 BOEPD/well.

Oil & Gas – Producing Assets Sale, Runnels and Coleman Counties, TX

In 2015, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor on a producing asset acquisition opportunity of 8,000 net acres all depths in Coleman County, TX. The asset had 59 wells plus 30 PUDs with gross daily production of ~228 net daily BOE [121-160 BOPD & 302-408 MCFPD]. Included were the Morris, Gray, Palo Pinto, Gardner, and Fry formations.

Oil & Gas – Mineral Rights Sale, Mississippian and Woodford Shale

In 2015, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor on the sale of a producing mineral rights package 81.25/18.75% royalty in Logan County, OK. Some adjacent operators included Devon, CHK, Slawson Energy, Stephens Production, Osage Exploration, CMO Energy Partners, Payne Exploration.

2014

Consumer Products – Qrunch Foods

In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor to Qrunch Foods, a natural food company that specializes in making great-tasting, gluten-free frozen foods. Qrunch Burgers, and all Qrunch Foods products, are free of common allergens, including gluten, dairy, soy, corn, eggs, wheat, and nuts. At the time of the transaction, the company planned on building top-line sales through new production and aggressive marketing to then position the company for acquisition. The company distributes products nationally through the largest, best-known distributors.

Oil & Gas – Britlind Energy

In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor to Britlind Energy on a development opportunity in Louisiana and Mississippi that was structured as a turnkey direct participation of an 11-wells program. The operator has a very successful history of working in these specific areas of LA and MS. At the time of the transaction, the operator had drilled over 90 wells with a high success and completion ratio in 25 production acquisitions and/or development programs, producing over 3,000 BOPD since 2007. Furthermore, the operator’s experience included building substantial reserves to the 2nd largest producer in the Monroe District (20th largest in the state of LA), which was subsequently sold to a Private Equity group (HM Capital Partners) for $111 million.

Real Estate – Hospitality Management

In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor to a 14-room boutique hotel development opportunity in Los Angeles with bar & restaurant guided by a Michelin Star chef. At the time of the transaction, the management had over 20-year experience, and successfully developed and managed fast growing hospitality brands in multiple outlets worldwide.

Oil & Gas – Producing Asset Acquisition, Permian Basin, TX

In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor on the acquisition of a producing asset opportunity in Sterling County, TX. Property had approximately 20,000 gross acres. Production at a time of the transaction was approximately 400/500 net BOEPD. Zone targets included Wolfcamp A & B, Cisco, and Canyon Sands. The asset had numerous low-cost drilling opportunities, and additional low risk exploitation/exploration potential. Infrastructure systems, gas lines, roads, electric lines, rock quarry, water storage pits and fresh water wells were already in place.

Oil & Gas – Tank Farm

In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor to a midstream opportunity, a liquid storage terminal facility in Houston with approximately 50 acres expandable to 300 acres. The facility provides liquid storage services for refined fuel products, crude oil, inorganic chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as product acceptance and redistribution by barge, rail, truck or pipeline. At the time of the transaction, the final project had a potential storage capacity of up to 2 million barrels. The project had 24 tanks on 50 acres of land with each tank holding 700,000 gallons or 16,667 barrels.

Oil & Gas – Oklahoma Producing Assets

In 2014, Black Legend Capital acted as a consulting advisor on the acquisition of a producing asset opportunity in Oklahoma. Net production was approximately 1,300 BOEPD from multiple, stacked shallow oil reservoirs. The property included over 77,000 gross acres of de-risked, mostly contiguous leaseholds in Oklahoma. Proved Developed Producing (PDP) net reserves 3.6 MMBO and 6.6 BCF; estimated Proved Non-Producing net reserves 570.8 MBO and 2.3 BCF; and estimated Proved UnDeveloped (PUD) net reserves 9.5 MMBO and 32.0 BCF from offset 10 acres drilling locations.
